Summary

KDP Publishing Administrator (Long-Term, High Volume) Job Title Amazon KDP Publishing Administrator — Interior Formatting, Cover Design & Publishing (Long-Term) Overview I am a spiritual nonfiction author with 30+ books currently live on Amazon KDP. I am looking for a skilled, detail-oriented KDP publishing partner for a long-term, ongoing engagement — not a one-off order. This is a systems role. I have a defined publishing process and a team of specialists (metadata, automation, platform). Your job is to execute within that system precisely and consistently — not to make independent decisions on keywords, categories, or design direction. If you are strong at following exact instructions, producing clean interior formatting, designing premium covers, and hitting deadlines — read on. If you prefer to work independently and make your own calls on metadata and design — this is not the right fit. What the Role Involves For every new title, you will: 1 Receive the manuscript from me and send a brief intake confirmation within 2 hours 2 Format the interior for eBook (EPUB/MOBI), paperback (6x9 print-ready PDF), and hardcover where applicable 3 Design the cover — front, back, spine, and eBook thumbnail — following the brand standard described below 4 Build the back matter CTA page — a branded "Continue Your Journey" page with a QR code (for print) and live hyperlink (for eBook), using a UTM-tracked URL I provide 5 Enter all metadata exactly as provided by my KDP Metadata Specialist — title, subtitle, description (HTML-formatted), 7 keyword strings, 2 category paths, pricing, and settings 6 Run KDP Previewer for all formats — zero errors before submission 7 Submit for KDP review, then send me the ASIN + live Amazon link for every format once approved You do not begin KDP setup until you have received the complete metadata package. You do not change keywords, categories, or descriptions without my written approval. Interior Formatting Standards eBook (EPUB + MOBI) • Clean, reflowable EPUB — no fixed-layout • H1 for chapter titles, H2 for subheadings • Active, clickable Table of Contents • Front matter: Title page → Copyright → Dedication → TOC • Back matter: About the Author → Also by [Author] → "Continue Your Journey" CTA page • All hyperlinks active; Kindle Previewer tested with zero errors Paperback (6x9) • KDP-compliant margins for the specific page count • Body font: Serif only — Garamond, Palatino, or Caslon (no sans-serif body text — ever) • Consistent chapter openings across all titles in the same series • Headers: Author name (verso) / Book title (recto); page numbers: footer, centered • Delivered as print-ready PDF Hardcover — same interior standards as paperback; case laminate cover; separate print- ready PDF Cover Design Standard Covers must feel like premium spiritual nonfiction. The reference points are Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now), Brené Brown (Daring Greatly), and Richard Rohr (Falling Upward) — clean, minimal, emotionally resonant, typographically strong. Covers must NOT be: generic stock photo + title text, overly mystical (crystals/mandalas/light beams), corporate self-help (blue gradient + sans-serif), or cluttered. There are 5 distinct book series, each with its own visual family. You will maintain a style guide for each series so every new cover has visual consistency with the others in that series: Series Visual Style Personal Transformation Deep charcoal/black + warm gold, bold serif typography Recovery Soft warm tones, gentle imagery, intimate typography Cosmic/Awakening Deep space blues/purples, expansive imagery, clean modern serif Leadership Strong, minimal, dark tones, authoritative typography Conversation/Faith Warm earth tones, intimate, devotional feel Cover deliverables per title: front cover, back cover, spine, and eBook thumbnail (readable at 160px wide). Metadata Entry — Follow Exactly For every title, my KDP Metadata Specialist delivers a complete package. Your job is to enter it character-for-character: • Title and subtitle — exact strings, no changes • Description — HTML-formatted; paste exactly, do not strip tags • 7 keyword strings — enter each into the correct KDP field exactly as provided • 2 category paths — navigate to the exact categories specified, no substitutions • Pricing, KDP Select (always ON for eBook), territory (worldwide), DRM (enabled) Volume & Turnaround Upcoming volume: 6 new titles in the next 60 days, then 2–4 new titles per month ongoing, plus retroactive work on the existing 30+ title catalog (cover updates, formatting fixes, metadata corrections). Package Turnaround eBook formatting only 2 business days Paperback formatting only 3 business days Full package (eBook + paperback + hardcover + cover + KDP setup) 5–7 business days Retroactive metadata update only 1 business day Retroactive cover redesign only 3 business days Please Answer These Questions in Your Proposal To be considered, please respond to each of the following directly: 8 System compliance — Are you comfortable entering metadata exactly as provided by a specialist — keywords, categories, HTML descriptions — without making substitutions? This is non-negotiable. 9 Back matter CTA page — Can you build a branded "Continue Your Journey" page with a QR code generated from a URL I provide, as a standard part of every book you format? 10 Series consistency — Can you maintain a visual style guide across 5 book series so every new cover matches the established look? How do you track previous covers when designing new ones? 11 Volume capacity — With 2–4 new titles per month plus retroactive work, can you maintain the turnaround standards above? What is your current queue? 12 Cover aesthetic — Please share 2–3 examples of spiritual nonfiction covers you have designed. What makes a great spiritual nonfiction cover, in your view? 13 Revision process — When I say "the cover doesn't feel right — it's too generic," how do you respond and how quickly? 14 File delivery — How do you deliver files? I need all files archived in a shared folder (Google Drive or Dropbox) that I can access at any time. 15 Pricing — Please provide per-title pricing for: (a) eBook only, (b) paperback only, (c) full interior (eBook + paperback + hardcover), (d) cover design only, (e) full package — interior + cover + KDP setup + metadata entry, (f) retroactive metadata update only, (g) retroactive cover redesign only. A volume/retainer rate for 2–4 titles per month is strongly preferred. How I Will Evaluate Proposals I am looking for three things: 1. Can you follow a system exactly? Metadata entry is precise. One wrong keyword or wrong category costs Amazon visibility. I need someone who treats this like surgery, not a form to fill out quickly. 2. Is your cover aesthetic right for spiritual nonfiction? Your portfolio and your answer to Question 5 will tell me whether you see what I see. 3. Can you handle volume without quality slipping? This is a long-term relationship. I need the same care on title #30 as on title #1. This is a long-term engagement for the right person. If you are detail-oriented, system- driven, and have a genuine eye for premium book design — I look forward to your proposal
