Job Title: 2D Kids’ Character Animator & Content Editor (Long-Term Monthly Retainer) ​Location: Remote (Work from Home) Job Type: Monthly Retainer / Long-Term Contract Compensation: ₹25,000 / month (Based on portfolio quality and execution speed) ​About the Role ​We are launching a brand-new educational YouTube Kids channel focused on bright, high-energy content inspired by top kids' brands like ChuChu TV and Cocomelon (nursery rhymes, phonics, object learning, and mini-stories). ​We are looking for a creative, highly disciplined 2D Character Animator & Video Editor to build our initial animation pipeline from scratch. As a founding animator on this project, you will bring our scripts and audio tracks to life, build core character rigs, and establish efficient workflows for both long-form videos and short-form clips. ​Monthly Scope & Deliverables ​8 to 10 Long-Form Videos: Full animated videos (8 to 10 minutes each) based on provided audio/scripts. ​40 to 50 YouTube Shorts / Reels: 5 vertical clips (9:16 format, 15–30 seconds each) derived from each long-form video (reframed key moments, high-energy dance loops, and strong visual hooks). ​Initial Asset & Character Library: Build, rig, and expand reusable character models, facial expressions, walk/dance cycles, and vibrant background templates to streamline production going forward. ​Final Project Handoff: Deliver high-res 1080p MP4 exports alongside structured master source files (e.g., Animate/Moho/After Effects project files). ​Key Responsibilities ​Character Rigging & Animation: Create initial character rigs, fluid movements, expressive facial timing, and accurate lip-syncing matched to provided audio. ​Visual Identity & Retention Hooks: Design bright, high-contrast, visually stimulating environments that instantly grab young children's attention within the first 5 seconds. ​Short-Form Content Creation: Intelligently reframe and edit long-form scenes into standalone 9:16 vertical shorts featuring engaging hooks and text captions. ​Pipeline Setup: Build modular asset setups (smart symbols, bone rigs, template scenes) so monthly output stays fast and consistent as the channel grows. ​Requirements & Qualifications ​Portfolio / Showreel Required: Must showcase strong 2D kids' character animation, bright color palettes, expressiveness, and lip-syncing capability. ​Software Mastery: Proficiency in 2D animation tools (e.g., Adobe Animate, Moho Pro, Toon Boom Harmony, or After Effects). ​Modular Workflow Experience: Clear understanding of reusable animation assets (rigs, cycle loops, symbol libraries) to sustain high monthly output. ​Reliability: Self-starter attitude with strict discipline to meet consistent weekly milestones.
