Klaviyo Email Marketing Specialist for DTC E-commerce Brand

We are a growing DTC e-commerce brand looking for an experienced Klaviyo Email Marketing Specialist to help us execute and improve our email marketing program. We are looking for someone who can take direction from an email/lifecycle marketing strategist and turn that strategy into high-quality campaigns, flows, email designs, and ongoing execution inside Klaviyo. This is a hands-on implementation role. You should be comfortable building emails, preparing visuals, setting up campaigns, working inside Klaviyo, following a marketing calendar, and helping our internal team execute consistently throughout the year. The brand name will be shared with shortlisted candidates after initial screening. What You’ll Be Doing You will help us execute email marketing campaigns, flows, and automations for our DTC e-commerce brand. Responsibilities may include: * Building and scheduling email campaigns in Klaviyo * Creating emails based on the campaign calendar and strategic direction * Implementing lifecycle flows and automations inside Klaviyo * Updating and improving existing flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback, VIP, cross-sell, replenishment, and sunset flows * Creating and editing email visuals, layouts, and templates * Using AI tools to speed up creative development, copy drafts, design concepts, personalization, testing ideas, and campaign variations * Preparing campaign drafts for internal review * Segmenting audiences based on customer behavior, engagement, purchase history, product interest, and lifecycle stage * Setting up A/B tests for subject lines, offers, creative, send times, and campaign angles * QA testing emails before launch, including links, images, formatting, mobile responsiveness, personalization, discounts, and segmentation * Monitoring campaign and flow performance * Preparing simple performance reports with key takeaways and recommendations * Working with our internal team to ensure campaigns are launched on time * Maintaining a clean, organized Klaviyo account with clear naming conventions and documentation Ideal Candidate You should have hands-on experience executing email marketing for DTC e-commerce brands. We are especially interested in someone who has: * Strong experience with Klaviyo * Experience with Shopify-based e-commerce brands * Worked with 7-figure or 8-figure DTC e-commerce brands * Experience building both campaigns and automated flows * Good design sense and ability to create clean, on-brand email layouts * Ability to prepare or adapt visuals using tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools * Experience using AI tools to improve speed and output quality * Strong attention to detail and QA discipline * Understanding of segmentation, personalization, lifecycle marketing, and retention * Ability to follow a strategy and turn it into actual email campaigns * Comfortable working with a strategist, founder, marketing lead, or internal team * Clear communication and reliable project management Bonus points if you have experience with: * SMS marketing * Attentive, Postscript, or other SMS platforms * DTC consumer product brands * Amazon + Shopify brands * Subscription, replenishment, or repeat-purchase products * Loyalty or referral programs * Email deliverability best practices * Basic copywriting * Landing pages or signup forms * CRO and list-growth campaigns What We Are Looking For We want someone who is both creative and operational. You do not need to own the entire strategy from scratch, but you should be able to understand strategic direction and execute it well. A strong fit would be someone who can say: * “Here is the campaign draft.” * “Here are the visuals.” * “Here is the Klaviyo setup.” * “Here is the segment.” * “Here is what I tested.” * “Here is what performed.” * “Here is what I recommend we do next.” What We Are Not Looking For We are not looking for someone who only writes copy. We are not looking for someone who only designs images but cannot work inside Klaviyo. We are not looking for a pure strategist who does not want to execute. We are not looking for someone who needs constant hand-holding for every campaign. We need someone who can take direction, build clean emails, manage details, and help us ship consistently. Initial Scope The first project may include: 1. Reviewing our existing Klaviyo setup 2. Building or improving several key flows 3. Creating campaign email templates 4. Preparing a campaign calendar execution system 5. Building a batch of upcoming campaigns 6. Setting up segmentation and A/B tests 7. QA testing all emails before launch 8. Reporting on campaign and flow performance If the first project goes well, this can become an ongoing monthly role.
