Kubernetes Engineer

We're building a modern, cloud-native platform called SwarmPM — an AI-powered project management system. We are looking for a junior level or first time Upwork freelancer to set up and configure the infrastructure that runs it. What You'll Do: * Set up and configure Kubernetes clusters for our services * Deploy a workflow engine (Temporal.io) to manage background jobs * Set up autoscaling so our system scales up during busy times and scales down to zero when idle (saving cost) * Configure monitoring and observability so we can see what's happening in the system (logs, metrics, traces) * Help migrate internal communication from REST to gRPC * Make sure services are secure (mTLS, authentication) What We're Looking For: * Strong experience with Kubernetes (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting) * Experience with at least one workflow orchestration system (Temporal.io, Airflow, Cadence, etc.) * Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) * Experience with event-driven autoscaling (KEDA is a plus)
