LGBTQ+ News Editor & Writer (Daily Publishing)

We are looking for an experienced News Editor/Writer to manage the news section of our website, with a primary focus on LGBTQ+ news and related topics. Important: Detailed information about the website, editorial guidelines, and content focus will be provided during the interview process. Responsibilities: Monitor and parse relevant news using Inoreader (experience with this tool is required, https://www.inoreader.com/). Quickly identify newsworthy stories related to LGBTQ+ topics. Write high-quality, timely news articles. Publish content directly through our website’s CMS/admin panel. Ensure articles are posted as soon as possible after a story breaks. Maintain a consistent publishing schedule. Expected Output 1–3 news articles per day. Fast turnaround times and the ability to react to breaking news. Daily monitoring of assigned news sources. Requirements 3+ years of experience writing and publishing news content. Strong understanding of news publishing workflows and editorial standards. Clear understanding of what performs well in Google News and related news platforms. Experience with news sourcing, parsing, writing, editing, and publishing. Hands-on experience with Inoreader (required). Native English speaker (U.S.-based preferred). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility. Ability to meet deadlines consistently. Preferred Qualifications Experience covering LGBTQ+ news, culture, entertainment, music, films, life-style etc. ( no political topics) Experience working with WordPress or other CMS platforms. Familiarity with SEO best practices for news content. Compensation Compensation is negotiable and will be discussed during the interview based on experience and availability.
