Landscape Designer (Remote) High-end Residential Ongoing Work

Overview We’re building a modern, online landscape design company focused on delivering beautiful, buildable outdoor designs for clients across the U.S. Our brand, Junipera Outdoor Design, targets high-end residential markets such as Tahoe, Reno, and other luxury regions. We are looking for talented remote landscape designers who can produce clean, modern, and construction-ready designs efficiently. This is not traditional slow, custom design work—this is a streamlined, systems-driven design model. What You’ll Do ·Create 2D landscape layouts (site plans, planting plans, hardscape concepts) ·Develop simple, elegant outdoor design concepts (modern / mountain / California casual) ·Select materials, plants, and outdoor elements appropriate to region ·Produce client-ready presentation boards (clean, minimal, high-end) ·Work from client questionnaires, photos, and property data (no site visits required) ·Iterate quickly based on feedback Design Style We’re Looking For ·Clean, minimal, modern (think: Napa, Tahoe, Aspen aesthetic) ·Strong sense of layout + spatial flow ·Experience with outdoor living spaces (fire pits, patios, kitchens, pools) ·Ability to balance design + real-world buildability Tools & Skills Required ·AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar ·Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (or similar for presentations) ·Strong plant knowledge (or ability to research regionally appropriate plants) ·Ability to follow a repeatable design system / template Bonus (Highly Preferred) ·U.S. residential landscape design experience ·Familiarity with grading, drainage, or basic construction detailing ·Experience working remotely with fast turnaround timelines ·Ability to handle multiple projects per week How We Work (Important) ·You’ll receive a clear design brief + client inputs ·You produce a first draft within 3–5 days ·We refine and finalize quickly ·Multiple projects per week available once onboarded Compensation ·Per project: $150 – $400+ depending on scope ·Ongoing work for the right designer ·Opportunity to grow into lead designer role To Apply Please include: 1.Portfolio (especially residential outdoor spaces) 2.2–3 examples of clean, modern landscape layouts 3.Tools you use 4.Your typical turnaround time 5.A short note: “How would you design a high-end backyard in Tahoe?” Why This Is Different We’re building a scalable, modern design company, not a traditional firm.
