Freelance Landscape Designer (Colorado Preferred) About Frontier Outdoor Living Frontier Outdoor Living is a Colorado-based design-build contractor specializing in outdoor living spaces, native landscapes, defensible space, wildfire mitigation, decks, retaining walls, drainage solutions, and mountain property improvements. We are looking for a freelance landscape designer to assist with project design and plan development on an as-needed basis. What We're Looking For Preference will be given to candidates with experience designing projects in Colorado, particularly within mountain, foothill, or Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) environments. Ideal candidates have experience with: Colorado native and water-wise landscapes Defensible space and wildfire mitigation Mountain and foothill properties Grading, drainage, and erosion control Deer-resistant and low-maintenance plantings Residential design-build projects Responsibilities Create conceptual landscape plans Develop planting and hardscape plans Revise designs based on client feedback Prepare presentation and construction drawings Assist with material and plant selection Preferred Software AutoCAD Land F/X SketchUp Structure Studios DynaSCAPE To Apply Please provide: Portfolio of completed projects Examples of planting and construction plans Colorado-based project experience (if applicable) Hourly rate or project pricing Availability Brief description of your design process Additional Preference Applicants with experience in defensible space, wildfire mitigation, forestry, native landscapes, or mountain-community design are strongly encouraged to apply.
