Landscape architect

We are looking for an experienced landscape architect or landscape designer to help develop a residential landscape design for a property in Northern California. The ideal candidate should have strong experience designing outdoor spaces in Northern California and must be familiar with local plant species, climate conditions, drought-tolerant landscaping, native plants, irrigation considerations, and practical installation constraints. The project involves improving the overall yard layout, plant selection, hardscape coordination, privacy, curb appeal, and outdoor usability. We are looking for someone who can create a thoughtful, attractive, and realistic design that can actually be built. Scope of Work May Include: • Review site photos, measurements, and existing conditions • Develop landscape design concepts • Recommend Northern California-appropriate plants and trees • Create planting plans and layout drawings • Suggest hardscape, pathway, patio, retaining, or outdoor feature improvements • Provide guidance on irrigation and drought-tolerant planting • Help create a phased plan if needed • Prepare drawings or visuals that can be shared with installers or contractors Required Experience: • Landscape architecture or professional landscape design experience • Strong knowledge of Northern California plant species • Experience with drought-tolerant, native, and low-maintenance planting plans • Residential landscape design portfolio • Ability to balance design quality with construction practicality • Familiarity with Bay Area / Marin County conditions is a plus Deliverables: Please include what you typically provide, such as concept plans, planting plans, 2D layouts, 3D renderings, plant palettes, material recommendations, and installation guidance.
