Laravel Backend Developer for Streaming Audio & Creator Platform We’re seeking an experienced Laravel PHP developer to support backend development for Afterdark Audio, a streaming audio platform and creator platform. The platform includes audio delivery through Cloudflare R2, a Vue frontend, creator-facing workflows, membership management, credit card/payment integration, admin tools, and ongoing database work, and you’ll work alongside our existing developer on feature development and coding. This is not a greenfield build. We need someone who is comfortable jumping into an existing Laravel codebase, building backend features, supporting internal/admin functionality, improving database structure and queries, and collaborating closely with another developer to move work forward efficiently. Develop and refine admin tools for internal management workflows. Laravel admin tooling commonly centers on CRUD, resource management, filters, and relationship handling, which is relevant to the kind of backend support you’re describing. Handle database work, including schema updates, query optimization, data integrity, and ongoing maintenance. Support membership, subscription, payment, and creator-management functionality. Troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and contribute clean, scalable code in an existing production app. What we’re looking for Strong Laravel and PHP experience. Experience working in an existing production codebase. Strong MySQL/database design and optimization skills. Experience building admin or internal tools in Laravel. Laravel admin platforms commonly rely on robust CRUD, model relationships, filters, and resource management, which makes that background especially relevant. Experience with APIs, payment integrations, and third-party services. Ability to collaborate well with an existing developer and contribute quickly.
