About the Project: We are launching a cutting-edge research and development project focused on "Spatial AI for Industrial Design Review." Our goal is to build an intelligent 3D Chatbot that empowers users to review complex industrial designs (such as plant pipelines and shipbuilding structures) via natural language. This system will not just answer questions—it will operate as an autonomous AI Agent that dynamically interacts with a 3D Web Viewer, executes complex spatial queries, and automates design review workflows. We are looking for a visionary, hands-on Senior 3D Spatial Data & AI Engineer to lead the architecture and core implementation of this platform. Key Responsibilities: - 3D Data Transformation: Convert and optimize heavy, complex industrial 3D engineering data into lightweight Simplified Business Objects (SBO) using Oriented Bounding Boxes (OBB) to minimize data weight while preserving spatial hierarchy. - Void Space Modeling: Mathematical generation of explicit 3D geometry for abstract spatial entities (e.g., manways, openings, clear spaces) to enable automated accessibility and clearance checks. - Spatial Query Engine: Implement efficient 3D spatial indexing and query mechanisms (using tools like PostGIS) to handle complex design review logic (e.g., "Identify all pipes intersecting with this specific opening"). - AI Agent & Protocol Integration: Build a robust Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and custom APIs to expose the 3D pipeline and spatial query capabilities to LLMs (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph orchestration). - 3D Viewer Orchestration: Connect the autonomous AI agent to a web-based 3D viewer (CesiumJS / Three.js) to dynamically update, filter, and manipulate 3D Tiles 1.1/glTF views based on the chatbot's reasoning. Required Technical Skills: - Strong experience with AI Agent Architecture & Frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent) and Model Context Protocol (MCP). - Deep knowledge of 3D Graphics, WebGL/WebGPU, and 3D Web Viewers (CesiumJS, Three.js). - Expertise in 3D Data Pipelines, HLOD, 3D Tiles (Spec 1.1), and glTF optimization. - Solid background in Computational Geometry, 3D Mathematics (OBB, spatial partitioning), and Spatial Databases (PostGIS). - Proficiency in production-grade backend API development and system architecture.
