The Role The Lead Analyst (LA) – Amazon Advertising is responsible for the strategy execution, performance, and growth of Amazon Advertising accounts while mentoring Analysts. This role blends hands-on campaign execution with strategic judgment. LAs don’t just recommend what should happen, they implement, monitor, and adjust strategies while maintaining full awareness of account health. What You’ll Own -Amazon Advertising Strategy & Execution Execute Amazon Advertising strategies across: Sponsored Products Sponsored Brands Sponsored Display Build, optimize, and manage campaigns in alignment with client objectives. Monitor daily performance and make informed adjustments based on: ACOS / TACOS targets Budget pacing Inventory availability Product lifecycle stage Translate strategic direction into concrete execution within accounts. Account Ownership & Performance Awareness Maintain deep, daily awareness of assigned Amazon Advertising accounts, including: Performance trends and anomalies Spend pacing and efficiency Inventory risks and constraints Growth opportunities and scaling signals Ensure issues are identified and surfaced before they become problems. Critical Thinking & Decision Framing Frame Amazon advertising challenges clearly: What is the goal? What is happening in performance? What are the constraints? What are the trade-offs and options? Bring reasoned recommendations and execution plans to the Sr. Account Strategist. Client Communication (Slack-Based) Participate in client Slack channels as needed as part of the Amazon account team. Share performance updates, insights, and context under the guidance of the Senior Advertising Strategist (SAS) or Senior Lead Analyst. Escalate risks, questions, and strategic decisions prior to client delivery when appropriate. Ensure client communication is clear, accurate, and aligned with account objectives. Account Growth & Strategic Partnership Partner with the Sr. Account Strategist or Sr. Lead Analyst to: Identify scaling opportunities and growth levers Prioritize campaigns, products, and initiatives Support long-term account planning Help ensure leadership has clarity and confidence in the performance narrative during client discussions. Team Leadership & Mentorship Support and mentor Analysts within the Amazon Advertising team. Help junior analysts develop: Strong account ownership Better execution judgment Critical thinking and proactive communication Review execution quality and analytical thinking, not just outputs. This role is not about volume it’s about judgment + execution.
