Lead AI Automation Engineer (AI Agents & Business Systems)

✅About Us We are an Australian commercial office furniture company undergoing a major AI transformation. Our goal is to build AI into every area of the business to improve decision-making, automate repetitive work, and help our team focus on the highest-value activities. We're looking for an experienced AI Engineer who can become our long-term AI partner and help design, build and continuously improve AI solutions across the business. ✅About the Role You'll work directly with our Managing Director to identify business challenges and build AI solutions that create measurable business value. This isn't a chatbot project. We're looking for someone who can help build an AI operating system that: • Connects information across the business. • Prioritises what matters most. • Recommends the next best actions. • Automates repetitive work. • Helps management make better decisions. ✅What You'll Be Doing Examples of projects include: • Building AI agents that analyse large amounts of business data and produce prioritised action lists. • Connecting systems such as Odoo ERP, CRM, Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, email and other business platforms. • Building AI workflows that automate repetitive tasks. • Creating AI assistants for sales, customer service, operations and management. • Developing AI systems that identify opportunities, bottlenecks and business risks. • Building AI dashboards that summarise information instead of overwhelming users with reports. • Continuously recommending new ways AI can improve our business. ✅Skills We're Looking For Ideally, you'll have experience with: • AI agents and LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar) • Python • APIs and system integrations • Odoo ERP (preferred) • SQL and databases • n8n, Make or similar automation platforms • Prompt engineering • AI workflow automation • Business process automation • Data engineering • Dashboard development ✅What Success Looks Like We're not looking for someone who builds chatbots. We're looking for someone who can build intelligent business systems that: • Collect information from multiple systems. • Analyse and prioritise what matters most. • Recommend practical next steps. • Automate repetitive work. • Help management make faster, better-informed decisions.
