Summary

We’re looking for a researcher to support our lead generation strategy work. You’ll be doing the research that strategy is built on. For each client, we need two things from you: The most relevant target verticals. Given a client’s offer and existing client base, identify which industries or niche segments are the strongest fit, and why. Pain point alignment. For each recommended vertical, identify the specific operational or financial pain points that audience deals with, and how the client’s offer actually solves them. Responsibilities -Research industries and niche segments to identify the highest-potential audiences for a given client offer -Identify specific, real pain points within each audience that align with the client offer -Map how the client’s actual service or expertise solves those specific pain points -Identify which roles to target within the chosen organizations and why -Pull supporting evidence (competitor positioning, market trends, audience behavior) to validate recommendations -Deliver organized findings we can use to build messaging and outreach strategy Requirements -Experience in B2B research, audience segmentation, or outbound campaign support -General understanding of marketing messaging strategies -Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tools like Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, etc -Sharp research and analytical skills, clear written communication Deliverables per project -Recommended target vertical(s), with reasoning -Recommended pain points specific to each vertical -How the client’s offer aligns to those pain points -Relevant decision-maker titles and roles -Supporting research and sources To apply, please include Examples of past research projects, ideally ones where you matched an offer to an audience pain point Or, examples of messaging and the research that backed up strategy decisions Industries or niches you’ve researched before Tools you’re proficient with A short answer: walk us through how you’d take a client’s service offering and identify which audience and pain point it fits best
