Lead Web Designer (Figma) — UI/UX + Developer Handoff & Project Leadership

We're a web design and development studio building high-quality marketing and product websites for clients across SaaS, healthcare, aviation, ecommerce, and beyond. We design in Figma and build primarily in Webflow (with some Shopify work), and we're growing — which is why we need a designer who can both create exceptional work and own the path from design to launch. This isn't a "make it pretty and disappear" role. We're looking for a Lead Web Designer who treats every project like it's theirs end to end. What you'll do: Design beautiful, modern, conversion-focused websites in Figma — high-fidelity, fully responsive, on-brand Build and maintain clean, scalable design systems and component libraries Prepare developer-ready handoff files: organized layers, annotations, specs, interaction notes, responsive breakpoints Lead the handoff to our development team and stay involved through build, QA, and launch — making sure what ships matches the design intent Direct next steps on each project: set the design direction, give clear feedback to developers, and keep things moving Help shape and uphold our quality bar as the studio scales You're a strong fit if you have: A standout web design portfolio in Figma (websites specifically — not just mobile apps or dribbble shots) Real fluency with responsive web design, layout systems, and modern visual design A clear, repeatable developer handoff process and experience working alongside developers Leadership and communication skills — you can direct a build, give actionable feedback, and own outcomes without being micromanaged Strong written and spoken English Reliability and ownership: you hit deadlines and communicate proactively Bonus points for: Hands-on Webflow experience (you understand how design translates to the build) Agency or studio background managing multiple projects at once Experience designing conversion-focused marketing sites / landing pages Familiarity with Shopify / Replo or other ecommerce design Experience mentoring or directing other designers How this works: We'd like to start with a small paid trial project so we can see how you design, hand off, and communicate. If it's a great fit, this becomes an ongoing, long-term lead role with steady work.
