Learning Materials Designer (PowerPoint & Print) $8.00 – $15.00 USD per hour We’re looking for a highly skilled freelance Learning Materials Designer to support our growing learning & development studio on a project basis. This is a hands-on visual design and production role focused primarily on creating exceptional PowerPoint presentations, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and branded learning materials for hospitality, service, and people-focused brands. This is NOT a strategy-heavy instructional design role. We are specifically looking for someone with: Strong PowerPoint presentation design skills Excellent typography, layout, and visual hierarchy instincts A modern, clean, premium design style Strong attention to detail and presentation polish Ability to independently transform rough content into polished client-ready deliverables Typical Project Work Includes: Designing workshop decks and training presentations Creating facilitator guides and learner workbooks Formatting documents in Adobe InDesign Elevating existing content visually Supporting branded learning experiences and training materials Preparing polished print and digital assets Software Experience Required: Microsoft PowerPoint (advanced level) Adobe InDesign Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Bonus If You Have Experience With: Learning & Development / training projects Articulate Storyline or Rise Motion graphics or presentation animation Hospitality or luxury brands You’ll be working asynchronously with a US-based team, so strong English communication and reliability are essential. Only applicants who provide PowerPoint samples and are willing to complete the paid design challenge will be considered. Challenge Overview: You will be asked to create a 4-slide PowerPoint presentation from scratch using a provided brand profile and content brief. Time Commitment: 15 minutes: Review brand guidelines, content, and instructions 45 minutes: Design and build the PowerPoint slides Total expected time: 1 hour Compensation: USD $25 paid upon completion and submission of the challenge What We Will Provide: Brand profile / visual guidelines Content brief Design instructions Any required assets What We’re Assessing: PowerPoint design proficiency Typography and visual hierarchy Layout and composition skills Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines Attention to detail and presentation polish Consistency across multiple slides Speed and efficiency under realistic project conditions Overall quality of client-ready deliverables Submission Requirements: Editable PowerPoint (.pptx) PDF export of final slides Please create the slides natively in PowerPoint. We are assessing PowerPoint design capability and workflow efficiency, not Illustrator-created artwork placed into slides. We do not use Google Slides at Figary Learning Studio. Availability & Ongoing Contractor Community: We are not hiring for a single project only. We are building a trusted community of independent contractors who can support our learning and development studio on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. The ideal candidate: Has availability and capacity to support projects as needed Can respond quickly and work within agreed timelines Is comfortable working asynchronously with a remote team Communicates proactively regarding workload and deadlines Is interested in building a long-term contractor relationship While project volume will vary, we are looking to establish relationships with designers we can confidently engage when client work arises and timelines require additional support.
