👨‍⚖️ Legal Advisor for Agency 👨‍⚖️

BERK Labs is a digital agency, based in Houston, TX. LLC taxed as S-Corp. Established in 2018. We need a legal advisor to be available on call for periodic help with various legal needs: - Trademark & Copyright - Contracts & SOWs - Board Meeting Minutes - Liability / Risk Reviews - Stock / Ownership - Employment Agreements - Acquisitions & Partnerships - Demand Letters ... and more! You'll be expected to communicate via Slack and Email. Our tools are standard (Google Workspace). Our clients mostly employ us for Digital Marketing (e.g. Google Ads). Although your primary responsibility will be with contracts, you might be asked to supervise efforts related to debt collection, on very rare occasions. We never anticipate doing any type of suit that would involve any in-person court representation, but you may need to send demand letters, contact clients on our behalf to explain their contractual obligations, and so on. We don't have immediate legal issues that need your attention - this role is proactive - your primary directive would be to continually assess risk & liability, and then minimize it. If you're interested, please attach any examples of prior work (to the extent that you can) that demonstrate general familiarity with consulting agencies (focus on marketing) in Texas.
