Consulting Assignment: Strategic Product & Market Assessment Objective We are building an AI-powered enterprise platform focused on helping organizations unlock value from their executed contracts and improve post-signature legal and business operations. We are looking for experienced US attorneys, particularly those with significant in-house experience, to conduct an independent assessment of our product vision, problem statement, and overall approach. The objective is to provide strategic feedback that helps us better understand customer needs, identify product gaps, uncover new opportunities, and refine our long-term direction. We are not looking for validation of our ideas. We value objective, experience-driven feedback that challenges assumptions and helps us build a product that solves meaningful business problems. Scope of Assessment Please evaluate the product from multiple perspectives, including but not limited to: 1. Problem Assessment Are we solving meaningful problems for enterprises? Are these problems sufficiently important to justify adoption? Which critical problems are we overlooking? How do these challenges vary across industries, company sizes, and legal maturity? 2. Product Approach Does our overall approach align with how enterprises actually operate? Does the product fit naturally into existing legal and business workflows? What aspects are particularly compelling? Where are the biggest weaknesses or gaps? 3. Customer Value Evaluate the value the platform could provide to different stakeholders across an organization, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Security, Compliance, Operations, and Executive Leadership. Consider: Who benefits the most? Who would own the product internally? Which teams would derive measurable value? 4. Industry Analysis Based on your experience, evaluate how applicable the platform is across different industries. Identify: Industry-specific challenges Unique operational requirements High-value opportunities Areas where the product should evolve differently for specific sectors 5. Use Cases Identify both current and future use cases that could create significant customer value. We encourage thinking beyond our current product vision and exploring adjacent opportunities that enterprises would find valuable. 6. Enterprise Adoption Evaluate factors that would influence adoption, including: Business value Ease of implementation Trust Organizational readiness Change management Integration into existing processes What would make organizations adopt—or reject—a solution like this? 7. Competitive Perspective Without limiting yourself to direct competitors, evaluate how organizations currently solve these problems. Where does our approach appear differentiated? Where does it appear similar? What opportunities exist to create stronger competitive advantages? 8. Product Strategy If you were advising the executive team, how would you evolve this product over the next several years? Consider: New capabilities Emerging market opportunities Customer segments Strategic priorities Long-term product vision Deliverables Please provide: An executive summary of your findings A detailed assessment of each evaluation area Industry-specific observations where relevant Key strengths of the current approach Key weaknesses and risks Prioritized recommendations for improvement New opportunities and use cases we should consider Any additional insights that would help shape the product strategy Ideal Consultant We are seeking attorneys with substantial US commercial legal experience, preferably those who have worked in-house and have firsthand experience supporting business teams, managing contracts, or improving legal operations. Experience across multiple industries, enterprise environments, or legal technology initiatives is highly valued. Goal Our objective is to gain an external, independent perspective on both the product and the underlying market opportunity. We are looking for thoughtful, practical, and strategic recommendations that help us build a product with broad enterprise relevance and long-term impact.
