Legal Editor & Quality Assurance Reviewer (Law Students / Recent Law Graduates – India)

About the Project I am looking for a detail-oriented recent law graduate or current law student (preferably final or penultimate year) from India to review an approximately 85-page legal assessment report prepared in Microsoft Word. This is not a legal drafting or legal research assignment. Instead, your role is to perform a comprehensive legal quality assurance review of the report by identifying editorial, formatting, and substantive issues and providing review comments using Microsoft Word Track Changes and Comments. The ideal candidate should have excellent written English, strong attention to detail, and sufficient legal knowledge to identify substantive legal issues, not just grammar mistakes. ************* What You'll Do You will review the report and leave comments throughout the document using Microsoft Word Track Changes and Comments. Your review should cover both editorial quality and substantive legal review, including: • Grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and readability • Formatting inconsistencies (headings, numbering, spacing, fonts, indentation, tables, and overall document consistency) • Clarity, organization, logical flow, and professional writing style • Internal inconsistencies, contradictory statements, undefined terms or acronyms, and logical gaps • Legal accuracy, including incorrect legal analysis, unsupported conclusions, imprecise terminology, or substantive errors • Whether findings support the recommendations and whether recommendations are practical, specific, well-reasoned, and adequately justified • Suggestions for stronger recommendations, additional legal authorities, statutes, regulations, case law, policies, guidance documents, or other resources that would strengthen the report • Missing analysis, overlooked issues, weak reasoning, or opportunities to improve the overall quality and usefulness of the report The objective is to improve both the editorial quality and the substantive legal value of the report by providing thoughtful review comments, not by rewriting the document. ************* Paid Test Assignment Shortlisted applicants will first complete a paid test assignment consisting of approximately 7–8 pages of the report. You will receive: • A detailed review checklist • A sample showing the type of review comments expected • A 7–8 page excerpt for review The test assignment is paid at $10, regardless of whether you are selected for the full project. Candidates who perform well on the test assignment will be awarded the full project.
