Legal / Paralegal Researcher (Global Regulatory Mapping)

We're building a verification-first dating and social platform for the consenting-adult ethical-non-monogamy / "lifestyle" community. Privacy, age verification, and trust are core to the product. Before launch, we need a clear, organized map of the legal and regulatory landscape across target markets. This is a research and documentation role — you are not providing legal advice or representation; your output feeds the licensed attorneys who will give final sign-off. What you'll do: Research and summarize, per target jurisdiction, the rules governing adult-oriented and dating platforms — legality of the service, age-verification mandates, and any adult-content classification requirements. Map data-protection obligations relevant to sensitive personal data (e.g. sexual orientation/activity, health/STI status, government ID): GDPR special-category rules (EU/UK), India's DPDPA, and major US state laws (CCPA and others). Summarize platform-liability frameworks relevant to user-generated content, messaging, and any future events/payments layer — including US FOSTA-SESTA and Section 230 considerations, and equivalents elsewhere. Research age-verification and identity-verification compliance requirements and accepted methods by region. Flag jurisdictions that are high-risk, restricted, or prohibited for this category. Deliver a clean, sourced comparison matrix (jurisdiction × requirement) plus a short written summary of the biggest risks and open questions for attorney review. Target markets (initial): US, UK, EU, India, Canada, Australia, UAE — refine with us at kickoff.
