Legal Tech Automation Engineer - Docketwise API, Microsoft Outlook, and Dropbox Integration

We are a fast-growing immigration law practice seeking an experienced Legal Automation Engineer to integrate Docketwise with Microsoft Outlook (email/calendar) and Dropbox. The goal is to eliminate manual administrative tasks by creating automated document and data pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Configure and optimize the native Docketwise Outlook Email Add-in and bidirectional Outlook Calendar Sync across multiple staff mailboxes.Develop multi-step Zapier workflows (or custom webhooks) that trigger Dropbox folder creation when a new case is opened in Docketwise.Build a document sync pipeline that uploads files added to specific Dropbox folders directly into the matching Docketwise client profiles, handling files up to 500 MB.Establish security controls (such as OAuth authorization and restricted API tokens) to protect sensitive client data.Required Experience:Proven experience with Docketwise API endpoints and database schema.High proficiency with Zapier, custom webhooks, and RESTful API structures.Strong coding skills in JavaScript or Python for custom scripts.Familiarity with legal tech platforms (Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther) is a plus.Excellent communication skills and willingness to sign a comprehensive Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).When vetting independent candidates, firms should look for specific qualifications to ensure they have the technical expertise needed candidates with "Top Rated" status and a "100% Job Success Score (JSS)," preferred Docketwise Experience: candidate has completed projects involving Docketwise configurations, custom report generation, or database migrations.Custom Scripting Skills: developers who are proficient in JavaScript or Python, as native integrations and basic Zapier configurations often require custom code to handle complex file routing or data parsing preferred .Security and Compliance Knowledge: developer understands how to use scoped OAuth access rather than global API keys to keep sensitive client data secure.
