CA-Licensed Attorney for Settlement Agreement Review & Counter-Proposal (Sacramento Civil)

I am a defendant in an active California Superior Court civil case involving a business/investment dispute. Opposing counsel has prepared a settlement agreement that I need a California-licensed attorney to review and negotiate, if possible. Another attorney has been working on the matter and said opposing council isn't willing to negotiate; however, the significance of the matter warrants a second opinion given the magnitude of impact the agreement could have on my life and work. Scope of work: 1. Review settlement agreement (~15 pages) and identify terms that are one-sided or disadvantageous 2. Advise on specific provisions to negotiate 3. Discuss best way to move forward regarding communications given current representation and an opposing council who has seemed to see-saw between aggressive and mindful. This is NOT mediation. I need someone advocating for my interests. Key details: - I am located in Texas.
