Licensing & Rights Research Specialist for Independent Streaming Platform We are looking for an experienced freelancer to research and conduct licensing outreach for 26 independent films and television shows that we are interested in acquiring for our streaming platform. Important: We already have a spreadsheet containing all 26 titles. The spreadsheet will be provided to the freelancer we hire. Project Overview Your responsibilities will include: * Researching the rights holder(s) for each title. * Identifying the correct licensing, acquisitions, business development, or distribution contact. * Verifying that the contact information is current and accurate. * Preparing professional licensing inquiry emails. * Sending outreach emails after approval. * Tracking all communication and responses. * Providing organized documentation throughout the project. Deliverables For each title, please provide: * Film/TV title * Rights holder/company * Primary contact name (if available) * Position/title * Email address * Company website * Phone number (if available) * Notes regarding ownership or licensing * Date outreach was sent * Response status * Copies of all emails sent * Final report summarizing the outreach and responses Milestone Payment Schedule The total budget for this project is $200 USD and will be paid in 4 milestones. Milestone 1 – $50 Research and document the rights holders and licensing contacts for the first 7 titles. Milestone 2 – $50 Research and document the remaining 19 titles, ensuring the spreadsheet is complete and accurate. Milestone 3 – $50 Prepare professional licensing outreach emails for all 26 titles and send them after approval. Milestone 4 – $50 Provide follow-up tracking, copies of all correspondence, response updates, and a final organized report covering all 26 titles. Requirements We’re looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: * Entertainment licensing * Copyright and intellectual property * Film or television distribution * Business development * Legal or licensing research * Professional business outreach Strong English communication skills are required. Communication Please provide regular progress updates throughout the project. If you encounter any difficulty identifying a rights holder or contact information, let us know promptly rather than waiting until the end of the project.
