LinkedIn Engagement Writer — thoughtful comments in a specific voice (ongoing, part-time)
Worldwide
I’m an executive coach and behavioral scientist building a stronger presence on LinkedIn. I’m looking for a part-time writer who can leave short, thoughtful comments on other people’s posts in my voice, from my account. This is not an engagement-farming role. I don’t want dozens of generic comments. I want a few good ones each day that sound like they came from a real person who actually read the post. The main thing I care about is this: the comments cannot sound canned, vague, overly polished, or AI-written. No “Great post, thanks for sharing.” No empty praise. No comments that could be dropped under any post on LinkedIn. I’ll be able to tell quickly. What you’ll do Each day, I’ll send you around 5 LinkedIn posts, along with a quick note on the angle I want to take. You’ll write a short comment for each one, usually 1 to 3 sentences. Each comment should add something specific to that post, ideally with a coaching, leadership, or behavioral science lens. You’ll then post the comments from my LinkedIn account. That’s the whole role: about 5 strong comments per day. Quality matters far more than quantity. Voice rules The comments should be casual but professional. Clear, grammatical sentences. Not stiff corporate language, not lowercase texting. Comments should be short: 1 to 3 sentences. No emoji. No hashtags. No em dashes. No hype. No exclamation-heavy writing. Avoid generic phrases like “Great post,” “Love this,” “So true,” “Well said,” and “Thanks for sharing.” No self-promotion. No slang like “gonna” or “wanna.” Every comment needs to add a real point that is specific to the post. A behavioral insight, a coaching observation, a useful reframe, or a thoughtful question all work. What this is not This is not high-volume commenting. This is not an engagement pod. This is not a role for generic AI-written comments. This does not include DMs, connection requests, posting, liking, or any other account activity. Comments only. Requirements Native or near-native written English is required. You need to be able to read a post and add a real thought, not just rephrase the obvious. Reliability and discretion matter. You’ll have account access, so an NDA will be required. Compensation and commitment This is part-time and ongoing: around 5 comments per day, 5 days per week. We’ll start with a paid 1-week trial. If it’s a good fit, this can continue long term. How to apply Please follow these instructions exactly. Applications that skip this will be ignored. 1. Write a LinkedIn comment, 1 to 3 sentences, using the voice rules above, on this sample post: “After eight years building my company, I finally learned to say no to good opportunities so I could say yes to the great ones. The hardest part wasn’t the discipline. It was admitting that ‘busy’ had become my identity.” 2. In one sentence, tell me what makes a LinkedIn comment sound specific rather than generic. 3. Confirm that your written English is native or near-native, and tell me where you’re based.
