# Literacy Content Creator (On-Camera Educator) | Bring Reading Instruction to Life About Viva Phonics Viva Phonics is an online reading tutoring and educational resource company built on the Science of Reading. We help parents and educators teach children to read through evidence-based phonics instruction, printable resources, and live online tutoring. We're looking for an engaging educator to become one of the on-camera faces of Viva Phonics. **This is not a traditional social media manager role.** We're looking for someone who loves teaching and can bring our curriculum to life through engaging educational videos. About the Role You'll use our curriculum, lesson plans, and guidance to create educational video content that helps parents confidently teach their children to read. Your role is to take our instructional expertise and transform it into warm, engaging, easy-to-follow videos for parents. The content you create will be used across: * Resource Subscription * Website * Facebook * Instagram * YouTube * TikTok * Email marketing Responsibilities * Record short educational videos (30–90 seconds) * Teach mini phonics lessons on camera * Demonstrate how parents can use Viva Phonics resources * Explain reading concepts in simple, parent-friendly language * Record longer instructional videos for our resource subscription * Collaborate on content ideas and lesson planning * Edit videos with captions and basic graphics (or be willing to learn) * Represent Viva Phonics with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm Communication Requirements Because our audience includes young children and parents learning to teach reading, applicants must: * Speak fluent English with clear pronunciation and natural pacing. * Enunciate speech sounds clearly and consistently. * Be easily understood by English-speaking parents and children. * Have a warm, engaging, and professional speaking style. * Record in a quiet environment using a quality microphone with minimal background noise. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field * Teaching certificate preferred but not required * Elementary education experience * Reading intervention or phonics instruction experience * Science of Reading knowledge * Comfortable speaking on camera * Friendly, energetic, and engaging personality * Professional appearance and communication * Experience with CapCut, Canva, Descript, or similar editing software is a plus Initial Project The first project will include approximately: * 10 short educational videos * 5 resource walkthrough videos * 2 mini phonics lessons If we're a great fit, we'd love to build a long-term working relationship creating educational content together. What Success Looks Like You'll help parents: * Understand how to teach reading using our resources * Feel confident supporting their child's reading development * Engage with our educational content * Join our resource subscription * Book a reading screening when additional support is needed How to Apply Please include the following with your proposal: 1. A brief introduction about yourself. 2. A 60-second video introducing yourself. 3. A 60-second teaching demonstration explaining to a parent how to teach a child to blend simple CVC words (such as *cat, map,* or *dog*). 4. Links to any previous educational videos, social media content, or teaching demonstrations (if available).
