Local Business Research & Verification Specialist – USA Remote

We are looking for a dependable freelancer based in the United States to assist with ongoing local business research and verification. The role involves making short outbound calls to assigned businesses, asking specific research questions, collecting accurate information, and providing a brief report after each interaction. Responsibilities Contact assigned businesses by phone. Follow the provided research questions and call instructions. Verify the services offered by each business. Confirm service areas and availability. Ask about estimates, consultations, and pricing when appropriate. Document the representative’s responses accurately. Evaluate the overall customer-service experience. Submit a clear report after each completed assignment. Requirements Must currently reside in the United States. Strong spoken English. Professional phone etiquette. Comfortable making outbound calls. Good communication and listening skills. Reliable and detail-oriented. Able to follow instructions accurately. Regular mobile number required. Virtual or VoIP numbers are not accepted. Previous experience in market research, customer service, phone surveys, business verification, mystery shopping, or quality assurance is a plus. Compensation Hourly Upwork contract.
