Local China Researcher Needed for Biopharma Competitive Intelligence

Overview: We are a life sciences market intelligence company looking for a China-based researcher to help us identify and track local Chinese biopharma/pharmaceutical companies. This is an ongoing, part-time role. What You'll Do - Identify Chinese biopharma companies (small, mid-sized, and emerging) and their drug development pipelines, including preclinical stage companies. - Monitor and collect content from company WeChat public accounts (公众号), official websites, and local news sources - Gather pipeline images, investor presentations, press releases, and product announcements - Track key updates: new drug approvals (NMPA), clinical trial progress, partnerships, and funding rounds - Organize findings in a structured format (spreadsheet/slides) with source links - Deliver weekly or bi-weekly updates Requirements - Based in mainland China with active WeChat account - Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) — all communication and deliverables will be in English - Familiarity with China's biopharma/pharmaceutical industry landscape - Ability to navigate Chinese company websites, NMPA databases, and WeChat official accounts - Strong research and data organization skills - Reliable internet access and ability to communicate via email/messaging Nice to Have - Background in life sciences, pharmacy, or healthcare - Experience with competitive intelligence or market research Deliverables - Structured company profiles (name, pipeline, stage, therapeutic area, key news) Screenshots/downloads of pipeline images and presentations - Weekly summary of notable updates across tracked companies - Scope: 10-15 hours/week to start, with potential to increase. - Compensation - Upto $500 per month, negotiable based on good quality work.
