Local Fixer & Interpreter Needed for Documentary Filming at Agbogbloshie, Ghana

We are looking for a local fixer and interpreter in Ghana to assist with a documentary-style YouTube production. I manage a Japanese YouTuber who creates travel and documentary content for a large audience. We are planning to film a documentary about Agbogbloshie, which has often been described as one of the world's largest electronic waste processing sites and one of the most polluted places on Earth. The goal of the project is to help viewers better understand the environmental and human impact of electronic waste and to document the daily lives of people living and working in the area. Expected Filming Activities The exact filming plan is still being developed, but we would like assistance with the following: - Visiting residential areas in Sodom and learning about local living conditions - Visiting e-waste processing and dumping areas to observe the work being done there - Arranging and interpreting interviews with adults working in the area - Arranging and interpreting interviews with local children (where appropriate and permitted) - Helping us navigate the area safely and respectfully What We Need From You - Local fixer services - English interpretation and translation assistance during filming - Assistance arranging access, introductions, and interviews - General logistical support throughout the shoot Knowledge of Agbogbloshie and the surrounding communities is highly preferred Schedule Expected filming period: Mid-August 2026 Duration: 1–2 shooting days (to be finalized) Working hours: Approximately from morning until sunset Compensation Fixer fee: USD 100 per day Any reasonable filming-related expenses arranged on-site will be covered separately by our client.
