Local Liaison Person / Company Representative — Posted-Worker Compliance (Bulgaria)
Worldwide
A cross-border compliance services provider is appointing a locally-qualified professional to act as the in-country liaison person / company representative required under the EU Posted Workers Directive (Directive 96/71/EC, as amended by Directive 2018/957, with the Enforcement Directive 2014/67/EU). You MUST be a qualified lawyer or accountant resident and registered/admitted in Bulgaria; applications from outside Bulgaria will not be considered. We manage the posted-worker notifications and filings centrally on behalf of our client. We need a locally-established representative in Bulgaria to provide in-country representation only — to be the named point of contact for the General Labour Inspectorate (Glavna inspektsiya po truda). This is a light-touch, ongoing retainer role. There is no filing work: we prepare and submit everything. WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES - Acting as the appointed liaison person / company representative for our client in Bulgaria. - Being the named point of contact for the General Labour Inspectorate (Glavna inspektsiya po truda). - Holding and producing, on request, the required posting documents — A1 portable documents, employment contracts, and pay and working-time records — during the posting and for the local statutory retention period. - Receiving official communications and correspondence (including physical post) and forwarding them to us promptly. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - A qualified lawyer (advokat) OR a qualified accountant, in good standing with your professional body. - Established and resident in Bulgaria. - Fluent in Bulgarian for communications with the authorities, plus working English with us. - Able to receive official post at a registered local address and respond within a few business days. NICE TO HAVE - Prior experience with posted-worker notifications or labour-inspectorate interactions. - Professional indemnity / E&O insurance in place. PLEASE ANSWER IN YOUR PROPOSAL 1. Your profession and qualification (e.g. advokat / chartered accountant), and your registration body and number. Confirm you are in good standing. 2. Confirm you are established and resident in Bulgaria, and whether you apply as an individual or through a firm. 3. Any prior experience with posted-worker matters or the General Labour Inspectorate. Confirm you can receive official post at a registered local address, and your typical response time. 4. How you would handle and store employee personal data (A1s, contracts, pay and time records) in line with GDPR and the Bulgarian statutory retention period. Do you hold professional indemnity / E&O insurance (state the limit)? 5. Your fee, all-in and excl. VAT: an annual retainer per legal entity for representation only, plus any per-incident or document-request overage rate. How many entities can you support concurrently? We will reply to every proposal. Specific volumes and locations are shared at shortlist stage.
