Local SEO Specialist (Local, GEO/AI, On-Page & Off-Page)

I run a digital marketing agency working with US-based local service businesses. I'm looking for an SEO specialist to start with one active client, a US-based local business, on an ongoing basis. If the work is good, this grows into 2-3 client accounts with steady monthly work, not a one-off project. This is not a slow, audit-only engagement. I expect visible action from day one: technical fixes and off-site work (citations, Google Business Profile, backlink outreach) starting immediately, while any change to live site content or copy goes through a quick approval step before it's published. Scope of work: Local SEO: Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, NAP consistency, review strategy GEO / AI SEO: structuring content for AI Overviews and AI-driven search (FAQ schema, direct-answer content, entity clarity) On-page SEO: technical fixes, schema markup, internal linking, content optimization based on real keyword data Off-page SEO: earned backlinks through legitimate outreach, guest posts, resource page links, and relevant business directories GMB account management Ongoing: any copy or content change goes to me for approval before it's published, everything else (technical fixes, citations, GBP, backlink outreach) moves immediately without waiting on approval Targets I'll be tracking: Month 1: top 15 rankings for 2-3 priority keywords, Google Business Profile views up 20-30% vs. baseline, 15+ live citations Month 2: top 10 rankings for those same keywords, profile views up 40-50%, 30+ live citations Do not apply if your process includes any of the following: Social bookmarking, forum submission links, microblogging/pastebin-style links, mass "profile creation" tools Purchased links, PBNs, link farms, or bulk link packages Keyword lists without real search volume and difficulty data behind them Publishing changes to a client's live site without approval I take an approval-based workflow seriously given past experience with freelancers making unapproved live changes.
