Logo animation, minimal and elegant.

Logo Motion Design Project Brief Overview a+ is a model agency. The brand stands for excellence, precision, and the elevation of talent. We are commissioning a short logo animation to serve as the signature motion identity for the brand — to be used across video content, social media, and digital touchpoints. This is not a test of technical skill alone. We are looking for a motion designer with a genuine sensibility for luxury, restraint, and craft. The Logo The mark consists of two elements: — "a" — set in small cap, with a humanist open-counter letterform and clean tapering strokes — "+" — a geometric plus sign of equal weight, positioned to the right of the "a" The "+" is not decorative. It is a semantic element — it signals top tier, additive value, and the idea that a+ represents the best, and then some. The motion must honour this reading. The logo will be provided as an SVG file. What We Need A one-shot logo animation. Max duration: 2–3 seconds. The animation plays once and holds on the static logo. The result must feel iconic — something that could run at the opening of a campaign film, a social reel, or as a website intro without ever feeling out of place in a Hermès or Loewe context. Creative Direction The animation must embody three qualities simultaneously: — Elegant — nothing forced, nothing decorative, no excess movement — Minimal — restraint is the creative challenge here, not spectacle — Memorable — it must have a point of view; it cannot be generic We are deliberately leaving the motion concept open to the designer. We are not prescribing how the letters arrive, transform, or settle. What we are prescribing is the feeling: the calm authority of a luxury house, not the energy of a startup. Study references such as LOEWE and Hermès — their motion identity is characterised by confidence, pacing, and an absence of effort. What to Avoid — Particle effects or any scatter/dispersion techniques — Kinetic typography — bouncing, elastic, or physically simulated letterforms — Growing or drawing lines as a reveal mechanic — Glitch, distortion, or digital noise aesthetics — Anything that reads as experimental over elegant — Colour — the animation is strictly black and white Colour Black and white only. No colour is to be introduced at any stage of the animation. Two hold-frame versions are required: — Black logo on transparent background — White logo on transparent background Deliverables The following files are required upon completion: — MOV with alpha channel (transparent background) — MP4 — GIF — Lottie / JSON (for web implementation) — Working source file (After Effects or equivalent) All deliverables in both black and white versions. Process Please submit your proposal with: — A brief written description of your motion concept including inspiration examples — Relevant portfolio work — specifically motion work for brands in fashion, luxury, or editorial contexts We will review concepts and align before any execution begins. One round of revisions is included. Budget & Timeline Budget: To be discussed. Please submit your rate with your proposal. Timeline: Open to discussion. Quality is the priority over speed.
