### **About the Project** We run **What If Sports HQ**, a rapidly growing digital sports brand focused on cinematic, fast-paced, documentary-style "what if" hypothetical scenarios across professional leagues (NBA, NFL, MLB). We are looking for a highly skilled, reliable, long-term video editor to handle our long-form YouTube content (ranging from 10 to 15 minutes per video). This is a contract position with a steady stream of weekly work for the right creator. ### **The Style of Video We are Building** We create fast-paced, highly engaging sports documentaries. We rely heavily on dynamic text on-screen, pacing matched perfectly to background audio/sound design, vintage and modern sports archival footage, and clean graphic infographics (like charts or draft cards) to keep retention incredibly high. **Here is an exact example of a script structure you will be editing:** "The NBA Draft is supposed to be the moment a franchise changes forever. But what if every team from 2000 to 2009 got a second chance? We go through all 10 NBA Drafts from the 2000s and replace every number one overall pick with the player who ACTUALLY became the best in their class. The margin between a dynasty and a disaster is one name on one card."* ### **What You Will Do:** * **Complete Video Production:** Take a finalized voiceover file (fully processed with text-markup adjustments) and a detailed script outline, and turn it into a visually stunning 10+ minute YouTube video. * **Visual Storytelling:** Sconce high-quality NFL/NBA/MLB archival footage, sports magazine covers, and cinematic B-roll to match the narrative pacing. * **Motion Graphics & Visuals:** Create clean text overlays, lower-thirds, kinetic subtitles for key emphasis words, and simple animated infographics (e.g., comparing stats, draft boards, or climbing charts). * **Pacing & Sound Design:** Seamlessly layer intense background tracks, dramatic sweeps, hits, and ambient noise. Use audio ducking perfectly so the voiceover always sounds clear and prestigious. ### **Requirements:** * Proven experience editing sports content, sports documentaries, or high-retention YouTube essays. * Expert proficiency in **Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve**. * **A deep knowledge of sports history** (you should know who Kevin Durant, Greg Oden, or Stephen Curry are without needing explicit instructions on what footage to look up). * Ability to hit deadlines reliably and communicate clearly throughout the project. * Must be comfortable working with automated workflows and AI-generated voiceover tracks (ElevenLabs guidelines). ### **How to Apply:** 1.
