Long-Form YouTube Editor Needed (Travel, Food & Cultural Storytelling Content)

### About the Project **Important:** This is not a folder full of raw footage. The footage has already been organized and pre-cut into a rough edit. You will receive a single approximately **17-minute timeline/video** that already contains the key moments and story beats. The goal is not to sift through hours of footage. Instead, your job is to elevate the existing cut into an engaging YouTube video by improving pacing, tightening transitions, removing any remaining dead space, adding music, graphics, subtitles, sound effects, and any creative elements that improve the viewing experience. The video follows a day in New York City and includes: * Meeting and interviewing strangers around the city * Trying Paraguayan food * Exploring NYC * Attending a Mexico World Cup watch party * Fan interactions and reactions throughout the match We're looking for an editor who can take the existing cut and turn it into something people actually want to watch from beginning to end. ### Creative Freedom We're intentionally giving a lot of creative freedom. If a joke can land harder, make it happen. If a scene needs music, add it. If a graphic, zoom, subtitle, sound effect, meme, or transition improves the moment, use it. If something drags, cut it. We want someone who understands storytelling and retention and is comfortable making creative decisions without needing detailed instructions for every edit. Think of yourself as a creative partner, not just an editor. ### Style References We're looking for a style somewhere between: * Bald and Bankrupt * Kurt Caz * Small Brained American * Ryan Trahan Authentic storytelling, personality-driven content, and strong pacing are more important than flashy effects. ### Compensation $150-$300 per video depending on experience and portfolio. We have multiple videos already filmed and more in production, so we're looking to build a long-term relationship with the right editor.
