Long form YouTube video editor needed (weekly edits, clean pacing, retention focused) Overview We film one long form YouTube video each week and need a reliable editor to turn the raw footage into a polished final video that holds attention and feels premium. This is ongoing weekly work if it’s a good fit. We have a clear workflow and deadlines. What you will do each week Edit 1 long form YouTube video from raw footage Tighten pacing and remove dead space, rambling, mistakes, long pauses Add basic motion graphics where needed (titles, lower thirds, callouts) Add b roll, screen recordings, or supporting visuals when appropriate (we can provide assets or you can source simple stock where agreed) Clean audio (levels, noise reduction) and colour correct for a consistent look Deliver a final export plus project files if requested Deliverables (per video) 1 final YouTube video export (mp4, 1080p minimum) 1 thumbnail frame suggestion (timecode) to help our designer Optional: a short list of 5 to 10 standout moments with timestamps for shorts (if you can do this, mention it) Style and quality bar Clean, modern editing Strong pacing, retention focused Not over edited, but not boring Professional audio and consistent colour What we are looking for Proven long form YouTube editing experience (please share examples) Strong sense of pacing and storytelling Comfortable working to weekly deadlines Clear communication and fast turnaround Able to send files via Google Drive or SwissTransfer Nice to have Experience editing talking head plus screen share content Understanding of YouTube retention and how to structure edits around it Ability to create simple branded motion graphics templates Time and budget Ongoing weekly work Please apply with your rate per video (include what is included: rounds of revisions, b roll, motion graphics) Also tell me your typical turnaround time To apply Please include: 2 to 3 examples of long form YouTube videos you have edited Your rate per video and what it includes Your turnaround time from receiving footage Answer this: What are the first 5 edits you make to improve retention on a talking head video?
