Summary

Title: Long-Form YouTube Video Editor — Medical Education Channel (Remote, Per Video) About the Channel Doctor Teacher is a medical education YouTube channel hosted in Los Angeles. The mission is simple: help patients understand their own spinal health in plain language — no jargon, no fear, just clarity. Videos are 10–20 minutes long. Calm-warm tone. Clinical but never cold. We publish in both English and Spanish — two separate edits per topic. The channel is new and growing. We're not a huge channel and do not even have 100 subscribers. We're building something from the ground up — which means the right editor grows with us. What You'll Be Editing: Talking-head footage (surgeon on camera, clean studio setup) Picture-in-Picture (PiP) segments where the host annotates spine diagrams live on screen B-roll of anatomy visuals, MRI-style graphics, and medical illustrations Captions, lower thirds, and chapter markers One thumbnail per video (face-forward, dark background, high-contrast design) What We're Looking For You are detail-oriented and genuinely care about whether viewers stay watching. You understand that in educational content, a bad cut costs a viewer — not just aesthetically, but emotionally. Requirements: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve Experience editing educational or talking-head YouTube content Comfortable with PiP (Picture-in-Picture) layouts and screen annotation footage Can handle bilingual projects (English + Spanish — same edit, different audio track) Reliable with deadlines — we publish on a consistent weekly schedule Has stable internet and own equipment — this is fully remote The Role Per video basis — paid per completed video, not hourly Starting rate: $35–45 per video (10–20 min finished length) Volume: 1–2 videos per week to start, growing over time until more than 10 videos/week Communication via email or Slack Raw footage delivered via Google Drive You'll have real creative input — we're not looking for a button-pusher. If you see a better way to cut a scene, tell us.
