We are looking for a highly skilled Video Animator for a long-term YouTube explainer channel in the health niche. The type of content we look for focuses heavily on retention, visual engagement, storytelling, and high-quality animation. Style References We are NOT looking to copy the animation style of our direct competitors. Channels like: Explain The Things Chef Caleb should only be used as references for: Topic presentation Viewer engagement Retention style Overall explainer-video structure However, our visual identity and animation style will be different and original. For the actual animation quality, character movement, and expressive performance, we want something much closer to Bernard’s style: https://www.youtube.com/@BernardAnimationOfficial. Specifically, we are looking for: High-quality facial expressions Smooth and dynamic stickman-style body movement Strong character acting Expressive gestures and reactions Engaging hand-drawn supporting visuals and objects throughout the video Our main character will carry a large portion of the storytelling, so expressive animation quality is extremely important. The goal is to combine: The retention and explainer structure of channels like Explain The Things and Chef Caleb with The character quality, stickman-style movement, and expressive animation style seen in Bernard’s videos while still creating a unique and original visual identity for our channel. What You’ll Be Responsible For Storyboarding from the provided script and voiceover Designing characters and visual assets Creating engaging animations Editing the final video Occasional lip sync for the main character Creating dynamic scenes that maintain viewer attention throughout the video Our videos may use: White-background explainer scenes Real-image backgrounds used as visual environments/storyboarding support Hand-drawn animated objects and elements layered on top No background animation work is required.
