Long-Term Online French Instructor – Native Speaker (Guaranteed 20 Hours/Week)

About the Role We are a growing language instruction academy based out of Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 looking to hire TWO dedicated, long-term French teachers to join our remote faculty. This is an ideal position for native French-speaking educators, university graduates, or professional tutors who want steady, guaranteed weekly income and a stable, long-term relationship with a growing company. What We Offer * Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week, fully managed and tracked via the Upwork Desktop App. * Competitive Stable Pay: $10.00/hour (USD/CAD). * Long-Term Growth Path: We believe in rewarding loyalty. As our student base scales to 20-30 active students, your guaranteed weekly hours will increase, or your base hourly rate will scale up to $13+/hour. * Flexible Scheduling: We are looking to cover multiple time-zone blocks (morning and evening sessions), allowing you to pick a consistent schedule that fits your routine. Responsibilities * Deliver engaging online French lessons to beginner and intermediate students.. * Help customize and refine provided lesson materials, curriculum paths, and homework tasks. * Track student progress and provide brief, constructive feedback after lessons. * Maintain open communication with management regarding scheduling and student needs. Candidate Requirements * Language Fluency: Native or completely bilingual French speaker. High-level/fluent English is strictly required (essential for communicating grammar rules to absolute beginners and collaborating with management). * Technical Setup: You MUST have a highly reliable, high-speed fiber internet connection, a crisp webcam, a high-quality headset/microphone, and a quiet, professional background free of distractions. * Experience: Prior experience teaching French as a second language, tutoring online, or preparing students for exams (DELF/DALF/TEF) is highly preferred. * Professionalism: Punctual, energetic, and deeply invested in student success.
