The Opportunity We are looking for a skilled video editor to turn our long-form interview and podcast-style recordings into polished, engaging content for social media and YouTube. This is an ongoing need with consistent volume, so we are hoping to build a lasting relationship with the right person rather than fill a one-off project. About Us We are Princeton Mortgage. The goal of this content is clear: we want to attract talented loan officers to come work with us. Everything we produce is built to show loan officers why this is a place they would want to grow their career, through our culture, how our team works together, and what sets us apart. What has been working for us is building the personal brand of our CEO, Rich Weidel. His voice and personality are central to the content, and a lot of our best material comes from him sharing his perspective directly. The editing should keep him front and center and let his personality come through. The single most important thing to understand about our brand: we want to feel authentic and human, not corporate or overly polished. The footage is candid and conversational by design. Our editing style should protect that warmth rather than smooth it away. Source Content We record roughly hour-long conversations in an interview or podcast format, typically featuring our leadership and team members. From each recording we want to pull out the best moments and reshape them into the deliverables below. Footage will be provided via [Google Drive / Dropbox / your preferred method] as [raw multi-camera files / a single edited recording]. We can also share brand assets such as logos, fonts, and color guidelines once we are working together. What We Need 1. Short-Form Clips (Instagram and YouTube) - Vertical, 9:16 aspect ratio - Roughly 15 to 90 seconds each - A strong hook in the first 2 to 3 seconds to stop the scroll - Burned-in captions (clean, readable, on-brand styling) - Light text overlays, simple b-roll, or visual emphasis where it helps, but nothing that feels gimmicky or over-produced - Each clip should stand on its own and make sense without context Estimated volume: 3-5 clips per hour-long episode 2. Long-Form Edits - Horizontal, 16:9 aspect ratio - Around 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the strength of the content - Tightened for pacing: remove filler, dead air, and tangents while keeping the conversation feeling natural - Light intro and outro, lower thirds for names and titles, and subtle branding - Optional captions or an SRT file [confirm preference] Estimated volume: 1-2 clips per hour-long episode Style and Tone - Warm, conversational, and genuine - Edits should feel like a real conversation, not a commercial - Prioritize authentic moments, personality, and emotion over slick transitions - When in doubt, less is more: clean and human beats flashy and corporate We are happy to share a couple of reference videos that capture the vibe we are going for once we connect. Technical Notes - Deliver in 1080p minimum, 4K preferred where source allows - Standard formats (MP4, H.264) unless we request otherwise - Files delivered via shared drive folder organized by episode Timeline and Turnaround - We expect new source content roughly at least biweekly, potentially weekly - Target turnaround per batch: 5 business days - Please flag your current availability and typical turnaround in your proposal What to Include in Your Proposal 1. A short intro about you and your editing experience, especially with talking-head or podcast content 2. Links to 2 or 3 samples, ideally including both short-form clips and long-form edits 3. Your rate structure (per clip, per episode, hourly, or a retainer, whichever you prefer) 4. Your typical turnaround time and current availability 5. The editing tools you work in Nice to Have - Experience editing recruitment, employer-brand, or people-focused content - A feel for social trends and what performs well on Instagram and YouTube - Ability to suggest clip ideas and hooks from raw footage, not just execute a shot list We are excited to find someone who gets what we are going for and wants to grow with us. Thanks for taking a look, and we look forward to seeing your work.
