Long-term Japanese to English Video Game Localization Partner (On-Demand)

Hi freelancers, We are a digital creative studio based in Japan . We frequently receive localization requests from Japanese indie game developers who want to expand their games to the global market. We are looking for reliable, long-term partners who can translate and localize video games from Japanese to English. [Key Responsibilities] - Translating game text, UI, dialogue, and scripts from Japanese to English. - Maintaining the original tone, character personalities, and cultural nuances (Natural localization/culturalization). - Handling variables, codes, and character limits properly without breaking the game system. [Project-Based / On-Demand Work] Please note that this is on an "on-demand" project basis. We do not have a fixed monthly volume from day one. We will reach out and commission you each time a new order comes in from our clients. [Requirements] - Near-native or fluent English writing skills. - High proficiency in Japanese (must be able to understand game text nuances accurately). - Prior experience in video game localization (Indie games, RPGs, Visual Novels, etc.). - Great responsiveness and clear communication.
