[Long-term] Lead Anime Director - Anime Production

This is the creative heart of the studio. You are not coming in to execute someone else's vision. You are coming in to lead ours and build it from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to have genuine creative authority at a studio early enough that your fingerprints will be on everything we make! What You'll Do - Direct the full animation pipeline from storyboarding through final composition and post-production - Set and maintain the visual quality standard for every series we produce - Lead and give creative feedback to a fully remote animation team - Collaborate with the founder, source material creators, and the animation team to turn stories into compelling visual storytelling - Create style guides, standards, and references that keep the creative vision consistent across every production - Oversee SFX, voice direction, and music coordination, stepping in where needed - Work directly with indie manga and webcomic creators throughout the adaptation process Must-Haves - Proven experience as an Animation Director, Episode Director, Series Director, or similar senior role on high-quality 2D animation or anime-style projects - Strong portfolio or showreel showing animation direction, storyboarding, and visual storytelling - Deep understanding of professional 2D animation pipelines from storyboard to final composition - Working knowledge of tools such as Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint, Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects, or similar - Genuine enthusiasm for anime, manga, manhwa, and webcomic culture - Clear and direct communicator who can lead a remote creative team with confidence - Available at least 5 days per week Nice-to-Haves - Experience with original IP development - Working knowledge of AI-assisted creative tools - Familiar with niche communities on Reddit, Webtoon, Instagram, and Discord - Experience adapting manga, manhwa, or webcomic storytelling into animation Why Work With Us - Fully remote, long-term role with full-time potential - Performance-based raises and bonuses - Be part of a studio doing something fresh and exciting in the anime space - Lead the visual direction, animation standards, and remote production systems for an original anime IP from the ground up Ready to help create the next big anime?
