Looking for a Chemical Formulation Expert for Automotive Protective Coating

We are a surface protection technology company working on advanced automotive coating systems. We are currently developing a spray-applied liquid film coating for automotive painted surfaces. The target product is a flexible, transparent, high-gloss protective coating with improved stone-chip resistance, self-healing behavior, and strong adhesion to clear coat surfaces. Our formulation is based on a 2K polyurethane / silane hybrid system and we are looking for an experienced formulation chemist or coatings expert who can support us in solving technical formulation and application problems. The main topics we need support with are: Optimization of a 2K polyurethane / silane hybrid coating formulation Fish-eye, pinhole, crater and foam defect prevention Spray application optimization for automotive surfaces Solvent balance and evaporation control Additive selection such as flow agents, defoamers, wetting agents and rheology modifiers Improvement of gloss, leveling, transparency and color depth Enhancement of flexibility, adhesion and stone-chip resistance Support for self-healing performance improvement General formulation troubleshooting and technical guidance We already have an active formulation and several trial results. We are not starting from zero. We need someone who can analyze our existing system, identify root causes of defects, and recommend practical formulation or process adjustments. The ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Automotive coatings Polyurethane coatings Silane / sol-gel hybrid systems Clear coats or protective coatings Spray-applied coatings Paint defect troubleshooting Surface chemistry and wetting behavior This project may start with a technical consultation, but if the collaboration is successful, we are open to continuing with longer-term formulation development support. We are looking for someone practical, technically strong, and experienced in real coating formulation work.
