Looking for a Designer — Arabic/MENA Music Label Identity

We're building the visual identity for an independent music label with a mission-driven foundation. The brand has to carry real cultural and emotional weight — with dignity, not loudness. What we need: A primary logo/mark for a music label — clean, ownable, built to live in the corner of release covers, on merch, and at small scale as an avatar. The world it lives in: The aesthetic is nocturnal cinematic — warm night, film grain, restrained luxury. Think The Weeknd meets Saint Levant meets a vintage vinyl reissue sleeve. Dark, dignified, human. Not corporate, not flashy, not generic music-industry. The one motif we're drawn to: a crescent — tied to the artist's name and broader cultural identity. Open to how a skilled designer interprets and executes this. Typography direction: Arabic and Latin script treated as equal partners — not Arabic as decoration. The wordmark needs to work bilingually. Reference: Wael Morcos / Morcos Key for the level of typographic seriousness we're after. Visual references: Saint Levant, Bayou, The Weeknd — specifically the moody, after-hours, editorial feel. For the Arabic/MENA design lane: Nour Abosaif, Lynne Zakhour. What we're NOT looking for: Generic music logo templates Microphones, headphones, sound waves Bright colors or gradients Anyone who doesn't understand Arabic typography You're the right fit if: You have experience with Arabic/bilingual branding or MENA creative work You understand the nocturnal cinematic aesthetic without needing it explained twice You can show work that's restrained and intentional, not loud You deliver source files (AI, EPS) and usage guidelines To apply: Show me 2-3 portfolio pieces that feel closest to this world.
