Looking for Senior BIM Software Engineer / Full-Stack Microsoft Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR NET / openBIM DEVELOPER 📋 Role Overview We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with specialized openBIM experience to lead the integration of 3D architectural data with cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be the core bridge between complex BIM data schemas (IFC, BCF) and enterprise-grade Microsoft cloud applications. You will design pipelines that allow construction and engineering data to flow seamlessly into automated cloud workflows, databases, and analytics dashboards. 🛠️ Core Responsibilities As a Senior Developer, your time will be divided between architecture design, hands-on coding, and data pipeline optimization: BIM Data Parsing & Extraction: Write high-performance C# algorithms to parse heavy IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) files, extract spatial, material, and geometric metadata, and map them efficiently into relational or NoSQL databases. Cloud & API Architecture: Design and build secure, scalable Web APIs using ASP.NET Core and deploy serverless data processing pipelines leveraging Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL). Enterprise Workspace Integration: Develop connectors and automation scripts to pipe extracted BIM metadata into Microsoft ecosystem tools like SharePoint/OneDrive, Power BI (for executive dashboards), and Microsoft Teams (for automated clash detection notifications). Model Validation & Compliance: Implement programmatic validation rules using IDS (Information Delivery Specification) or custom validation engines to automatically check incoming 3D models against project requirements. Technical Leadership & R&D: Review code, mentor junior developers on BIM data concepts, and research emerging openBIM open-source toolkits to optimize geometry processing and reduce cloud computing latency. 🎯 Job Requirements Technical Requirements (Must-Have) Software Engineering: 4+ years of professional experience with the Microsoft Tech Stack (C#, .NET Core / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core APIs). Deep openBIM Domain Knowledge: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working directly with IFC schemas (IFC2x3, IFC4). BIM Libraries: Proven experience using open-source BIM toolkits, specifically xbim toolkit (xbim.Essentials / xbim.Geometry), IfcOpenShell, or similar geometry engines. Microsoft Azure Cloud: Strong experience building cloud-native applications using Azure Functions (for event-driven file parsing), Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL/Entity Framework Core. Data Structures: Strong understanding of processing complex graph-like data structures and tree-traversal algorithms (navigating spatial elements inside an IFC Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Experience with frontend 3D rendering frameworks (WebGL, Three.js, or Autodesk APS / Forge) to display IFC models directly in web browsers. Understanding of BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) and ISO 19650 workflows. Familiarity with the Microsoft Graph API or building custom Power Platform connectors.
