Looking for a Shopify Developer to Build a Custom DTC Website Based on a Competitor Reference

We’re building a new DTC brand in the sleep and home improvement space, focused on a customized blackout solution for windows. The product is a blackout frame/system that customers place directly onto their window. It’s designed to make a room 100% dark, without drilling, complicated installation, or expensive custom-made blackout solutions. We’re looking for a strong Shopify developer or Shopify designer/developer who can build the full website for us. In this phase, the main goal is to closely rebuild a competitor website that we will share as a reference, while adapting it to our own brand, product, custom order flow, and conversion goals. This is not just a basic Shopify store. The website needs to feel premium, clean, mobile-first, and conversion-focused. What we need We need someone who can build the complete Shopify website, including all key pages and flows: Homepage Product page Custom product/order flow Cart and checkout optimization FAQ page About page Installation/how-it-works page Shipping and returns pages Review/social proof sections Mobile-first landing page structure Any other key pages needed to launch the brand properly The website should be heavily inspired by the competitor reference we provide, especially in terms of structure, layout, user flow, and conversion elements. At the same time, it needs to be adapted to our own product, branding, copy, and custom functionality. Custom product functionality Because we sell customized blackout window products, the website needs to include a strong custom ordering experience. Customers should be able to configure or customize their product based on their window and needs. We’re still finalizing the exact flow, but experience with custom product options, measurement-based ordering, product configurators, or Shopify custom order flows is very important. Bonus points if you have experience with: -Custom product configurators -Measurement-based products -Dynamic pricing based on custom inputs -Shopify product option apps -Custom Liquid / JavaScript functionality -Multi-step product flows -Upload fields or guided order forms -CRO-focused product pages What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who can move fast, think commercially, and execute at a high level. You’re probably a good fit if you: -Have strong Shopify experience -Have built full DTC/e-commerce websites before -Can closely rebuild a reference website while adapting it properly -Understand mobile-first design and development -Have experience with conversion-focused product pages -Have experience with custom product flows or configurators -Can work independently and suggest improvements where needed -Understand speed, UX, CRO, and clean front-end execution -Can take a competitor reference and turn it into a polished Shopify store for our own brand This project is especially suited for someone who understands that the goal is not just to make a website look nice, but to build a site that converts paid traffic. Project scope For now, this is a freelance project to build the full Shopify website. If the collaboration goes well, there may be ongoing work after launch, including CRO improvements, landing pages, A/B testing, new features, product page iterations, and other Shopify updates.
