# Job Description: Website Programmer (VirtueMart & Facebook Checkout Integration) **Job Title:** Website Programmer – VirtueMart & Facebook Checkout Integration Specialist **Job Type:** Contract / Freelance (Remote) ## Job Overview I am seeking an experienced Website Programmer to develop and implement a checkout URL solution that integrates Facebook Marketplace checkout with VirtueMart e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Joomla, VirtueMart, PHP development, URL parameter handling, and Facebook commerce/tracking integrations. ## Key Responsibilities * Build and configure dynamic checkout URLs for products within VirtueMart. * Integrate Facebook product links with the VirtueMart checkout process. * Ensure users can be directed from Facebook to the appropriate product checkout page. * Implement tracking parameters (UTM tags, Facebook Click ID, etc.) and maintain data integrity throughout the purchase journey. * Develop and test secure URL routing and checkout workflows. * Troubleshoot issues related to Facebook traffic, checkout redirects, and conversion tracking. * Document all custom code and integration processes. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong experience with **Joomla CMS** and **VirtueMart** development. * Proficiency in **PHP**, **MySQL**, **JavaScript**, **HTML**, and **CSS**. * Experience creating custom VirtueMart plugins, overrides, or extensions. * Knowledge of Facebook Marketplace. * Experience with URL rewriting, routing, and checkout flow customization. * Understanding of web security best practices and payment gateway integrations. * Ability to debug and resolve integration issues efficiently. ## Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience integrating Facebook Shops or Meta Commerce tools with Joomla/VirtueMart websites. * Knowledge of SEO-friendly URL structures. ## Deliverables * Fully functional checkout URL generation system for VirtueMart products. * Facebook-compatible product and checkout links. * Documentation for setup, maintenance, and future updates. * Tested and validated checkout workflow across major browsers and devices. ## How to Apply Please provide: 1.
