Creative Developer - Shopify + Scroll-Driven Animation (AI-Native Workflow) Ecom Maven | Remote | Part-Time, Ongoing Who We Are We're an animation-first, custom-coded web design agency building standout sites for e-commerce, luxury, hospitality, and wellness brands. Our work lives at the intersection of clean engineering and cinematic motion - think scroll experiences that feel alive, not templated. We build on Shopify, Webflow, and custom HTML/CSS/JS. What You'll Do This is an ongoing, part-time role - a steady stream of project work rather than a one-off gig. You'll take designs and creative direction and turn them into fast, polished, motion-rich websites. Day to day, that means: Building and customizing Shopify themes (Liquid, sections, custom snippets) Engineering scroll-controlled animations and interactive hero sequences Translating Figma designs into pixel-accurate, performant front-end code Debugging, optimizing, and shipping - on real deadlines, for real clients Our Animation Stack If these are already in your toolkit, you'll feel right at home: GSAP + ScrollTrigger for scroll-driven motion Lenis for smooth scroll Three.js / WebGL for anything dimensional Solid vanilla JS fundamentals underneath it all AI-Native ("Vibe Coding") We build with AI in the loop, not on the sidelines. You should be genuinely fluent with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar - able to move fast by describing intent, then reviewing, refining, and taking full ownership of the output. We're looking for someone who uses AI to ship better and faster, while still understanding every line that goes live. Speed matters. So does craft. You're a Great Fit If You Have shipped real Shopify builds (not just demos) Are strong with GSAP - this is essential, not a nice-to-have. You should be confident with ScrollTrigger and timeline-based animation Can make things move - and know why a 60fps animation beats a janky one Are comfortable in an AI-assisted workflow and know where the tools help vs. where human judgment wins Sweat the details: spacing, timing, easing, load performance Communicate clearly and manage your own time (we're remote and async-friendly) Can commit to consistent part-time availability and turn work around reliably week to week Nice to Have Webflow experience Netlify / DNS / deployment know-how An eye for design, not just execution A portfolio with motion work we can actually scroll through How to Apply Send us your portfolio (motion work front and center) and a short note on how you use AI in your build process.
