Looking for a developer with advanced animation experience

Creative Web Developer - Shopify + Advanced Scroll Animations (Ongoing) Ecom Maven is a boutique web design agency building cinematic, animation-driven websites for e-commerce, luxury, and hospitality brands. We're looking for a developer to join us on an ongoing basis - consistent project flow, not a one-off gig. What you'll build High-end Shopify storefronts with custom Liquid sections and complex animation layers Scroll-controlled experiences: pinned sections, scrubbed timelines, scroll-driven video and image sequences Custom-coded marketing sites (no page builders - real code, real polish) Interactive 3D and motion elements where the design calls for them Must-have skills GSAP + ScrollTrigger - this is the core of our work. You should be comfortable with pinning, scrubbing, timeline orchestration, and responsive animation logic Shopify development - custom themes, Liquid sections, metafields, and making animations play nicely inside the Shopify ecosystem Smooth scrolling - experience with Lenis or similar, and handling the edge cases it creates Performance optimization for animation-heavy sites - this is critical. We need someone who knows how to keep a heavily animated site fast: GPU-accelerated transforms, lazy loading media, optimizing video delivery, canvas frame extraction techniques, avoiding layout thrashing, and getting respectable Lighthouse scores on pages full of motion Cross-device reliability - animations that work on iOS Safari, not just Chrome on desktop Nice to have Three.js / Spline integration Webflow custom code experience Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) Video optimization pipelines (compression, adaptive formats, autoplay handling) How we work Ongoing collaboration with steady project flow - we want someone who becomes part of the team You'll work from polished Figma designs and motion references - we know exactly what we want, you bring it to life Clear scopes, clear deadlines, direct communication Remote, flexible hours, but reliable availability and responsiveness matter To apply Send: 2-3 live links to animation-heavy sites you personally developed (specify exactly what you built) A short note on how you'd keep a site with multiple scroll-video sections performing well on mobile - a few sentences is enough, we just want to see how you think Your hourly rate or preferred project-based pricing Applications without live links to scroll-animation work will not be considered.
