Looking for a senior web dev with heavy animated website optimization experience

Senior Frontend Developer - Mobile Performance & Animation Optimization About the role We're a boutique web agency building cinematic, animation-driven websites for luxury, e-commerce, and hospitality brands. Our sites push the browser hard - scroll-scrubbed video, GSAP ScrollTrigger sequences, Three.js/WebGL 3D environments, virtual rooms, and immersive interactions. They look incredible on desktop. On mobile, that's where we need you. We're looking for a senior developer who has been in the trenches optimizing exactly this kind of work - not just adding will-change: transform and calling it a day. What you'll be doing Auditing and optimizing animation-heavy pages for mobile performance (60fps targets, no jank) Diagnosing and resolving scroll-animation degradation on iOS Safari and Android Chrome Optimizing Three.js scenes, GLTF/GLB models, and WebGL pipelines for mobile GPU limits Improving load performance on sites with 3D virtual room environments and game-style interactions Running Lighthouse, DevTools profiling, and real-device testing to find actual bottlenecks Working alongside our design and development team on an ongoing or per-project basis You're a strong fit if you have Shipped animation-heavy websites with proven mobile performance results (share your work) Deep hands-on experience with GSAP ScrollTrigger, Three.js, or similar WebGL stacks Experience with 3D room environments or game-adjacent browser animations (Spline, Babylon.js, custom Three.js scenes) Real battle stories - sites that were broken on mobile and you fixed them Strong understanding of GPU compositing, texture compression, draw calls, and render budgets Experience leading or coordinating a small dev team with performance standards baked in (a plus, not required) Nice to have Background in game development or game engine workflows (Unity, Godot) applied to web Familiarity with Shopify or Webflow as deployment targets Experience with Netlify deployments and build optimization To apply, please include 2-3 live examples of animation-heavy or 3D websites you've optimized or built - with mobile performance results if possible One specific mobile performance problem you've solved and how you approached it Your preferred tech stack for this kind of work The keyword VELOCITY somewhere in your proposal Applications without live work samples will not be reviewed.
