Low-Code Developer | JavaScript | API Integration

About the Role - We are seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join our team in a hybrid role that combines low-code platform development with custom JavaScript programming. Rather than two separate skill sets, we are looking for someone who naturally blends visual builder tools with code - using the low-code environment where it's efficient, and dropping into JavaScript when customization or complexity demands it. - This is a remote focused on building scalable internal business applications. You will work independently based on provided documentation, so being a self-starter is essential. Before onboarding, candidates will be given a sample application and a practical task to complete as part of the selection process. Must Have Skills: -Understanding of low-code platform (QuickBase, Betty Blocks, or similar) -Solid JavaScript skills with ability to extend and customize beyond what the builder offers -Comfortable switching between visual/drag-and-drop development and writing custom code -Ability to work independently from technical documentation with minimal supervision -Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset -Basic understanding of relational data design and API concepts -Ability to model data structures - defining entities, relationships, and field logic that keep applications clean, scalable, and easy to maintain Nice to Have Skills: -Experience with form designers, formulas, and workflow automation in low-code platforms -Familiarity with business process analysis -Experience with CSS Responsibilities: -Designing and building applications using a combination of the low-code builder and custom JavaScript -Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript where platform limitations require custom solutions -Developing forms and workflows based on provided documentation -Debugging issues and completing enhancement requests across both the builder and code layers -Supporting testing and quality assurance -Keeping Jira board updated with accurate task progress -Logging all work hours through required time tracking tools How the Hiring Process Works -Before joining, every candidate will receive a sample application and a defined task to complete.
