We are a growing premium food and lifestyle brand www.MarmaladeGrove.com built around California citrus, marmalade, agriculture, design, photography, hospitality, and culture. We produce a significant amount of original photography and video and are building a more sophisticated content operation around it. Our founder and creative director shoots much of our photography and video personally. We want that person focused almost entirely on creating the material and directing the brand, rather than uploading files, organizing folders, resizing images, tracking assets, or preparing content for distribution. That is where you come in. Your Role After a shoot, you will take a large dump of photography and video and turn it into an exceptionally organized, usable creative library. You will: Ingest photography and video from shoots into our cloud-based media library. Organize assets into a clear taxonomy by campaign, season, product, subject, format, theme, and intended use. Maintain naming conventions, metadata, tags, folders, selects, archives, and version control. Separate raw files, selects, retouched masters, social exports, web assets, print assets, video footage, and final deliverables. Identify strong images and footage within larger shoots. Create contact sheets, selects boards, and organized galleries for review. Prepare photography and video for our Content Manager, email team, advertising team, website, wholesale materials, and creator outreach. Create crops and exports for different digital formats without damaging the visual integrity of the work. Help turn our existing archive into an organized, searchable content library. Maintain an ongoing record of what content has been used and what remains available. Coordinate with our Content Manager around upcoming campaigns so that needed material is prepared in advance. Work from established brand guidelines to prepare simple graphics, layouts, text overlays, announcement assets, and other marketing collateral. Coordinate with our graphic designers when more sophisticated design work is required. Present assets for founder approval in a clean and efficient way rather than through scattered messages and folders. The Person We Want You have an unusual combination of: Obsessive organization + very strong visual taste. You should understand the difference between merely storing files and curating a visual archive. You may come from a background in: Creative production Digital asset management Photography production Fashion or editorial production Art direction Graphic design Social content production Creative studio management Luxury/lifestyle brand content You do not need to be our primary photographer or retoucher. You do need to understand photography well enough to recognize a great frame, preserve image quality, understand crops and ratios, and work comfortably with professional photo and video files. Visual Taste Matters Our visual direction is closer to an independent magazine, fashion campaign, beauty brand, or sophisticated hospitality brand than traditional packaged-food marketing. We are interested in: Editorial photography Beautiful typography Restrained graphic design Strong composition Rich but natural color Tactile imagery Film and print references Luxury, fashion, beauty, food, travel, and hospitality imagery We are not looking for generic Canva-style social media graphics. Software / Technical Experience Experience with professional cloud asset-management systems, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Premiere or similar tools is useful. The exact software matters less than your ability to build and maintain a rigorous system. How We Work You will work closely with: Founder / Creative Director Provides photography, video, visual direction, campaign concepts, and final creative approval. Content Manager Owns the marketing calendar, messaging, social channels, launches, promotions, email coordination, and advertising coordination. Customer Relations / Creator Manager Coordinates gifting, creators, relationships, UGC, and seeding. Design / Email / Advertising Partners Receive organized briefs and assets rather than searching through raw material. What Success Looks Like We want to reach the point where our founder can finish a shoot, hand you the material, and largely stop thinking about asset logistics. Within a short period of time: Every photograph has a logical home. Every campaign has an organized asset bank. The Content Manager can immediately find appropriate creative. We know which assets have already been used. Upcoming campaigns have material prepared before it is needed. Our visual presentation is increasingly consistent across every channel. Initial Paid Test We would like shortlisted candidates to complete a paid test project using one representative content dump. You may be asked to: Propose an organizational structure. Organize a sample batch of photography/video. Produce a selects gallery. Tag assets by theme/use. Prepare several assets for social/email/web. Create one or two simple on-brand graphic applications. When Applying Please send: A short explanation of why this role fits you. Examples of brands or creative archives you have managed. Portfolio examples demonstrating visual taste. Examples of asset-management or content-production systems you have built, if available. Your experience working with professional photography/video. Your hourly or monthly rate. Your availability. Most importantly: show us work that demonstrates taste and organization, not merely social-media volume.
