Seeking MEP Designer / Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) – California ADU & Residential Projects GenBuild Construction Group is seeking an experienced MEP Designer or Licensed Engineer to support our growing portfolio of ADU, residential, and light commercial construction projects throughout California. We are looking for a professional who can prepare Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) plans and calculations that meet local jurisdiction requirements and can provide stamped drawings when required by the city or county having jurisdiction. Scope of Services: Mechanical system design and documentation Electrical load calculations and electrical plan design Plumbing system design and documentation MEP plan preparation for permit submittals Energy compliance coordination when required Responses to plan check comments Permit support throughout the approval process Coordination with architectural and structural plans California code-compliant design for ADUs, residential additions, remodels, conversions, and new construction Qualifications: Experience preparing MEP plans for California jurisdictions Familiarity with ADU requirements and residential permitting processes Ability to provide stamped plans where required by local agencies Knowledge of California Building Code, California Mechanical Code, California Electrical Code, and California Plumbing Code Experience working with permit departments and responding to corrections Strong communication and coordination skills About Us: I am a licensed General Contractor and owner of GenBuild Construction Group.
